The Academy of St Martin in the Fields
Our first project with one of the world’s finest chamber orchestras, The Academy of St Martin in the Fields, involved working with the chamber ensemble to record movements from Schubert’s Octet in F major.
Short on time, with only one evening session, we needed to work quickly and ensure fluency between takes so the musicians wouldn’t lose momentum. All while capturing the dynamism and energy of the ensemble.
We were assisted by our beautiful location, the Angela Burgess Recital Hall at the Royal Academy of Music. Winner of the RIBA London Award 2018 and RIBA London Building of the Year 2018 this exceptional building lends the project a unique component that compliments both the orchestra and the music.
