LSO Player Profile

We followed LSO Double Bass Matthew Gibson around for a day at the annual BMW LSO Open Air Classics concert in Trafalgar Square. Along with performing Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, he talks about working with our 8- to 18-year-old young musicians from across East London in LSO On Track and on how this is such a great event for London, Londoners and the London Symphony Orchestra. The concert, now in its fifth year, is part of a joint partnership with BMW, and is supported by the Mayor of London.
