In 2012 the LSO were challenged to raise £6 million by 31 May 2015 in order to release £3 million of matched funding from Arts Council England. We were commissioned by the LSO to produce this film as an important part of the fundraising campaign.

Moving music aims for the LSO to be able to share their performance with people all over the world. Advances in digital technology will enable us to do this as never before – through educational sites, aimed at young people, which use the films in innovative ways; in web-based on-demand streaming services; on Pure Audio Blu-ray; in cinema broadcasts; through iTunesU and through internet TV services.

In this film we interviewed LSO members as they investigated the LSO play website; Produced branded Moving Music graphics to help explain some of the finer points of the funding scheme; Visited an inner London school to see LSO Play at work in the classroom; and spoke to LSO Managing Director Kathryn McDowell & Jonathan Moulds, Moving Music Campaign Chairman.
